The story of radio Whether we listen to The Archers', Chris Evans, Terry Wogan or Classic FM, radio is an ever-present companion, offering many services - news, talk, music, ethnic and religious. With the help of historic recordings we will explore the 100-year history of radio and its role in shaping our popular culture from the founding of the BBC to the digital age.
Tutor: Stephen Barnard
The golden age of Dutch art The 17C was the great age of Dutch art. This is the age of Rembrandt, but also many others - Ruisdael and the landscape painters created views of sandy coasts and windmills, de Hooch and Vermeer allow us to peep into their houses, and William Kalf lays before us shining vessels and exotic shells brought to Europe by Dutch merchants. Riches indeed.
