Village bids for regional ICT award

Village of the year logo
Brookmans Park has been nominated for the finals of the regional Village of the Year competition in the Information Communication Technology (ICT) section. The village won the county title in July.

North Mymms Parish Council (NMPC) is sponsoring the application and has prepared a three-page document in support of the nomination.

The chairman of the parish council, Cllr Bob Horrocks, says Brookmans Park Village ticks all the boxes required by the award sponsors. NMPC submitted the original nomination for the successful county bid.

If Brookmans Park wins the regional award, the village would be entered for the national award. The entry will be submitted on 24 September and the regional award will be announced at a presentation at the Millennium Hotel in London on 7 December.

The awards are sponsored by Calor and the Hertfordshire branch of the Campaign to Protect Rural England (CPRE).

You can discuss the awards in a discussion thread running in this site's forum.
