The Brookmans Park christmas tree lighting ceremony takes place on Bradmore Green on Saturday 29 November, and everyone is invited.

The switching on of the lights will be performed by the actor Thomas Law, who plays Peter Beale in the BBC soap, East Enders. Thomas will be joined by Mrs Jacqui Boulton, who chairs North Mymms Parish Council.

The community carol singing will be led by pupils from Chancellor's School, accompanied by the Potters Bar Town Band.

The event begins at 4.30pm, with Santa arriving on his sleigh at 5pm and the switching on of the lights at 5.30pm.

It's the fifth year that the Brookmans Park Rotary Club has organised this event and, with support from local shops, club members will again be serving complimentary mulled wine, mince pies and more. The event has grown more popular each year so arrive early to get a place.

A collection will be made for charities supported by Brookmans Park Rotary, including Mercy Ships.

You can discuss the event in this site's forum.
