Local policing - public meetingResidents in Brookmans Park and the surrounding area have a chance to quiz Hertfordshire Constabulary about local policing issues tonight, Thursday, November 22.
A public meeting has been arranged so that people can raise concerns directly with police representatives.
This site's 'Have Your Say' section is always a good gauge of local concerns.
According to a leaflet, put through doors in the neighbourhood this week, people can ask questions on the night or they can tell the police in advance about their concerns so that an answer can be prepared.
In the leaflet, people were encouraged to write, fax or e-mail the following address by Tuesday, November 20.
Hertfordshire Police Authority
The leaflet stresses that items placed on the agenda in advance cannot be discussed in the sponsor's absence.
“If appropriate, a written response will be provided. We will not be able to discuss personal cases at this meeting but you can take these up directly with your local police officer,” the leaflet explains.
According to the leaflet, summaries of the Police Authority's countrywide policing plan will be available at the meeting. This document contains the policing priorities and objectives for the year.
The meeting is one of a number of local events being held around the district and has been organised by the Welwyn Hatfield Police Community Partnership (PCP).
The leaflet says the group was set up by the police authority to give people a say in the way their local police service is delivered.
The meeting will be held on Thursday, November 22 at the North Mymms Memorial Hall in Station Road Welham Green. It will begin at 7.30pm and refreshments will be served from 7.00pm.
