Commuter misery in verse
One commuter has turned to verse to sum up his experiences in recent weeks and sent the ditty in to the 'Have Your Say' section.
What's wrong with the service, what's all the fuss?
If there isn't a train we'll send you a bus!
Look down the track in vain for a train.
Lots of fresh air as you stand in the rain.
We're trying to get you a new time-table,
And Aesop is right now writing this fable.
Your journey is starting, why not take your car.
We'll start all our trains at dear Potters Bar.
And when you come home, please do not worry,
we'll lock all the station so no need to hurry.
Standing again, and wait in the rain,
It isn't our fault the staff all refrain.
If only you'd listen whoever you are,
Who run all the trains that avoid Potters Bar.
We all want to get to our work-place on time,
but think it is quicker if we walk up the line !
