As usual there will be the popular Village Day attractions including indoor and outdoor stalls, a bouncy castle and slide, nail and face painting, arts and crafts, raffle, local charity stalls, five-a-side football, a live auction and a range of food and drink, including a licensed bar and barbeque.

The event starts with a fancy dress parade leaving Bradmore Green at 12.45 and making its way to Brookmans Park School.

Organisers say they are looking forward to welcoming past and present residents, pupils, teachers and friends of Brookmans Park to join an afternoon of fun for all the family.

Head teacher at Brookmans Park School, Nathan Hairon, said all at the school are looking forward to the day.

"It is wonderful for the school to again be hosting this popular local tradition. It is our view that encouraging a sense of community and local pride is important both to our pupils and the community we serve - and the children are very much looking forward to it."

The chair of the Village Day committee, Fiona Patel, said the fact that this year is the eventís golden anniversary makes it a special occasion.

"We are sure that this will again be a great day out for all the family with fun and activities aimed at children of all ages. Everyone is welcome come rain or shine,"

Brookmans Park Village Day is on Saturday 20 June. The parade starts at 12:45, the gates open at 13:00 and close at 17:00. The entrance fee is £1 for adults and 50p for children.
