Gobions Open Space re-opens

North Mymms Parish council has re-opened Gobions Open Space, which has been closed since the foot-and-mouth outbreak.

At one point a number of local residents were calling for a petition to oppose the ban.

North Mymms kept the ban in force long after many local woods, commons and paths were re-opened by Hertfordshire County Council.

Gobions Woodland Trust kept the popular Gobions Woods open during the ban and received several messages on this site thanking the trustees for their decision.

However the closure of Gobions Open Space and Moffats Open Space, both controlled by the parish council, meant that access to Gobions Woods was restricted.

Hatfield House re-opens on May 26 although access to the park will be restricted.
