Police tracking horse crime
A warning has been issued to all horse owners following an increase in horse-related crime in the area. Neighbourhood police officer, Jo Wakelen, says horse trailers have been stolen and there are reports of air rifles being fired from vans. Police are also investigating reports of suspicious vehicles being seen near fields where horses are kept. PC Wakelen says officers are keen to liaise with horse owners in order to keep track of animals and equipment. Horse owners are being urged to report any unusual activity by ringing the community police team on 01707-6638150 or 0845-33-00-222. You can discuss this issue in this site’s forum. March 18, 2007
