Parish to be given a spring clean
Volunteers will be out in force on Sunday 17 April for the annual parish spring clean.
|More than 40 black bin bags were filled during the 2004 spring clean|
Last year more than 40 black bin bags were filled with rubbish thanks to the efforts of dozens of local residents who cleared the lanes and hedgerows around North Mymms.
The action gets underway at 10am and volunteers will be given grabbers, bags, and gloves.
The event is organised by the North Mymms District Green Belt Society (NMDGBS).
This year, there are four venues where people can meet.
- The bus stop lay-by at the junction of Dixons Hill Road and Swanland Road (you can park in Swanland Road) – to clear up the Swallow Holes and part of Swanland Road.
- Woodside Lane lay-by, Bell Bar (next to the Texaco petrol station) – to clear up the lay-by.
- The War Memorial, Tollgate Road, at the entrance to North Mymms Park – to clear up the War Memorial grounds.
- The Scout Hut, Station Road – to clear up Station Road from Brookmans Park to Welham Green.
