Tories take Welwyn Hatfield

The Conservatives have a three seat majority on Welwyn Hatfield Council following the May 6th local elections.  But a by-election next month in the strong Labour ward of Hollybush could lead to a hung-council.  The Conservatives now have 24 councillors and 21 Labour, but the 3-strong Hollybush ward is expected to go the way of Labour in the June 17th by-election.  Council make-up from BBC News Online's Vote 99 Election Special
