Organisers of Brookmans Park Village Day 2003 have issued a note thanking everyone involved in Saturday’s event.

The Brookmans Park Primary School PTA says a total of £7,269.68 was taken on the day.

The PTA says that after they have added sponsorship money and deducted costs they will have a massive contribution towards the new infant playground equipment the head teacher Lesley Stevens wants to buy.

According to the PTA the ‘glorious weather’ guaranteed a good crowd for the event and the organisation has issued a thank-you to all who helped on the stalls on the day and in setting up and all who attended and helped make Village Day 2003 a success.

The PTA says it will issue another update when all the final details are in.
