Survey critical of local rail services
Local rail commuters have carried out a survey of stations and their facilities.
The details are to be discussed at an open meeting on July 9.
The Welham Green Rail Users Group says it has been concerned about continuing problems
with the current timetable, delays and cancellations.

They are also calling on WAGN (West Anglia Great Northern) to improve facilities
at local stations.
A survey carried out by the group examined waiting areas, ticket facilities, clocks,
information posters and security cameras.
The group says Welham Green is one of the most poorly served stations for these
facilities.
Organiser Julia Guerra says all the issues are to be taken up with WAGN. We also
hope to discuss the involvement of our local MP, Melanie Johnson, in future discussions
with train operators, she said.
The meeting will be held on Monday July 9, at 7.30pm at 9 Coningsby Close, Welham
Green.
For further information call Julia on 01707 276754.
