Itís always been free to park in Brookmans Park station car park, but that is all about to change.

WAGN has confirmed that motorists are going to be charged to leave their cars there in the future.

Exactly when the ticket machines will be introduced, whether barriers are planned, and how much it will cost, have not been clarified.

The confirmation of the proposed charges came in an e-mail to this site from WAGN.

This site contacted the train company after a North Mymms Parish Councillor reported in the forum that a proposal, suggesting charges should be made, had been drawn to the attention of the authority.

WAGNís Group Station Manager, responsible for Brookmans Park, is being contacted in an attempt to find out more.

So, will charges put motorists off using Brookmans Park? Will this lead to a reduction in traffic in the mornings and evenings? Will it make you feel more secure leaving your car at Brookmans Park? Will it have any impact on the village?

You can discuss this issue in the forum.
