Brookmans Park station death
British Transport police say a man died after being hit by a northbound Kings Cross to Leeds express at Brookmans Park station at 12:22 on Thursday 24 August. The driver of the train says he saw the man approach the tracks and sounded his horn but was unable to stop in time. According to British Transport police the driver then brought the train to a halt further up the track. Police are treaing the fatality as non-suspicious. Hertfordshire police and paramedics attended the scene but were unable to save the man. Members of the British Transport Police Incident Unit were at the scene for much of the afternoon. 24 August 2006
