Drinking water warning lifted Three Valleys Water has lifted its notice advising customers in south Hatfield, Welham Green, Bullens Green and Colney Heath to boil drinking water.
The company says the notice was issued as a precautionary measure against low-level bacterial contamination in the water supply following an inspection by public health officials.
A further meeting took place on Tuesday, August 13, at which it was agreed that it was no longer necessary for drinking water in the affected area to be boiled.
Three Valleys say the meeting followed a thorough investigation of all sources and systems to try to identify and eliminate the cause of the contamination.
The company says, on its website, that customers in the areas affected will receive a hand-delivered notice informing them that the boil notice has now been lifted.
Three Valleys Water says it is pleased that normal drinking water services have been restored and apologise to all customers for any inconvenience caused over the past 48 hours.
The issue has been raised in this site's Forum.
