Cosmological design mystery

A French student, studying astrological iconography, needs help tracing a piece of 16th century art, believed to be in North Mymms.

Alexandra Bosc is a graduate student in Art History at the Sorbonne in Paris and is carrying out research on astrological iconography in English art during the 16th century.

Alex read that a design or carving, with gilded frets, a sky fringed by clouds and sprinkled with stars, possibly with the moon in its four phases, might exist in North Mymms. It could be that the design is on the soffit of an Elizabethan tomb.

Alex wrote to this site's Forum asking whether anyone knew anything about the piece of work. If anyone can help please post a note to Alex in the Forum thread on the issue or mail Alex direct at alexandra.bosc@wanadoo.fr.
